Hello World, My name is Nickola Johnson. Welcome to the Reflections of a TEFL Teacher a journal designed by me and made with love, understanding and spirit. This is a space where I want teachers to be able to reflect and go within during their training and really enjoy this process.
I have created a journal for you where you can begin your reflections before the start of your busy day. It is really important that we are not known just as teachers, but as confident, kind, and passionate educators as we spread our love and energy to our students. I hope that your reflections will take you on your continued journey.
My inspiration to write this journal came from my reflection time with my teacher trainees. Every morning before class, we spent about 15 minutes expressing gratitude and reflecting on questions. I realised how much of an impact it made on a lot of people. There were so many tears and laughs but it really sets the tone for the start of class and the rest of the day.
As a trainer, I want people to nurture themselves as well during the process. In addition, finishing the course knowing a little more about themselves and feeling confident as a person and a teacher to start their amazing journeys ahead.
I am so happy that I had the motivation and drive to condense everything and make it into something personal. No better way to have your beautiful teacher reflection journal and your certificate to have with you for life.
